Ah, very close. The royal ‘we’ refers to the ruler and their subjects…we speak for the people as well as ourselves.

Why do you refer to yourself as "us?"

It is the royal “we”. It was very common place to use this a thousand years away.

Hello, Princess! Up until now, how have you been spending your time in Canterlot? A lot of us viewers were wondering where you'd gone. Also, how have you been adjusting to all the new technology I can only assume has cropped up in your absence?

We have had some trouble adjusting to these new things. We do not like the demon boxes very much. The ones that show pictures and plays sounds…very unnerving.

As for what we have been doing…we have been trying to learn “proper” grammar. It has not been going very well.
